Other major components included for the low price of only $150 are one Celtron load cell having a replacement value of $170, one Radio Shack 12-Volt power supply, two concrete blocks and one copy of the RMTS Plans having a value of $25. The DATAQ data logger described below is not included. However, DATAQ sells other data loggers costing less than $100.

The RMTS is capable of recording the thrust-time characteristics of rocket motors generating up to 220 pounds of maximum thrust. Overall test-bed dimensions for the RMTS are 19 5/8" long x 12" wide x 16 1/2" high. Plans for the Rocket Motor Test Stand (RMTS) are distributed by download and/or CD ROM in Internet Explorer web browser format. The RMTS plans have been modified to use the new DATAQ Instruments DI-158-UP Data Logger Starter Kit ($199) and WinDaq/Lite data acquisition software.
