The Sprint ABM is an exact scale
model of the Sprint Anti-Ballistic Missile first flown in the
1960's. This model of the Sprint ABM is 21 inches long and 3.5
inches wide at the base and weighs 210 grams without a motor
installed.
An internal launch lug design will avoid unstable liftoff. In
addition, the recovery system includes rear pop-pod recovery
that eliminates the requirement for a separate nose cone. Other
kit features include D/E motor propulsion and post-assembly provision
for added nose weight. The conical airframe is pre-slotted and
the complete kit includes step-by-step instructions. At $25.00
this kit was a unique value that included the design file used during
project development.
Notice - This is a challenging rocket to build and to
fly. The Sprint ABM applies the methods commonly used to build
high power rockets.
Thank you.
